CREATING ABUNDANCE
source: Trans4mind
"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. The only way to do great work is to love what you do." ~ Steve Jobs
Doing what you love is freedom. Loving what you do is happiness. If you're free and happy, those are wonderful qualities to appreciate in your life, and provide more abundance than any number of possessions.
"Often people attempt to live their lives backwards: they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you love to do, in order to have what you want." ~ Margaret Young
If we seek abundance, we must be abundant in spirit. We can begin to cultivate spiritual wealth by opening our hearts in gratitude. An Estonian proverb says, "Who does not thank for little will not thank for much."
"If you don't change what you do then despite changing your identity, still nothing will actually change in terms of your results, what you achieve and have. To act effectively we often need to build up our capabilities: to increase our knowledge and to gain skills. If our goal is clear and worthwhile, this will be part of the fun." ~Peter Shepherd
How we act needs discernment too. We need to act toward others as we would wish others to behave toward ourselves; otherwise what we do will return to destroy us. Love is the guideline, accepting and working to improve our own weaknesses, and understanding and forgiving the weaknesses of others.
