Ciara
"Body Party"
Ciara added all the right elements to this song. Alittle bit of "My Boo"swag, some Aliyah flair, and few of those hip winds she gave us in the music video Promise, and amazing vocals as always. I see Future is giving her something to sing about (ijs). What do you love about her latest single?
2006 was a hot year for Ciara. It's 2013 and I still love this song. I hope she's as successful with her new single Body Party.

Best Dress of the Night - Kelly Rowland
Can you say Va Voom? Kelly Rowland stole the show in this gorgeous Georges Chakra gown from his SS 2013 Couture Collection. If I didn't see another dress the night of the Grammy's I still got my fashion fix! Look forward to seeing more cut-outs, geometric shapes and plenty of sheer this spring and summer.
Best Dressed Couple - Chris Brown & Rhianna Now this is the Rhianna I remember. I spoke on her recent appearance in one of my previous blogs. I love that she's gone back to the "Girl Next Door" in this classic and glamours Grammy appropriate gown. RiRi and Chris Brown look as if they are in love and ready for Valentine's Day. Most of all she looks beautiful! Not to mention they look so happy together. I wish them well!
Most Unimpressive - Beyonce v. Jennifer Lopez
So I need some help with this one. Both of these over-hyped looks left me every disappointed.
Beyonce is undeniably a beautiful woman but while she's
been busy getting back into the swing of things by performing at
the inauguration and the super bowl half time show little effort went into one of the most glamorous
nights of the year. She was visually out shined by many of her peers
but perhaps that doesn't matter to her because Bey and Mr. Carter still
showed up to collect a few Grammy's to add to their collection. Don't
get me wrong I love this ensemble, but it's missing "Grammy Appeal"!
Jennifer Lopez took a risk with this rule breaking leg number. Unfortunately, that's all it was "A Leg Number". This beautiful mom of two has seen better days but between the hair and the dress I don't know if JLo or Bey impressed the least. What do you think?
Biggest Embarrassment of the Night - The Dream Really? Does this picture even need a caption. I don't have to post a full body length picture for all of us to agree Jay Z's diss was well warranted. This man has entirely too much money to show up to the Grammy's dressed like this. I'm embarrassed for him!
Did I hit my votes head on or do you have a few nominees of your own?

Keke Palmer wants to play with the big girls nowadays. She's 19 and a long way from the little girl that made our hearts melt in the movie Akeelah and the bee and Babershop 2. Along side her success in acting she's really been working on her music career and looks as if she may have alittle Aaliyah and Ciara working into her vibe. Nevertheless, she is definitely rocking a more mature look these days that has many people taking notice. I love the direction that she's headed in... she's such a talented and beautiful young lady!
What do think of her new look? Better yet check out a track from her new mixtape!

Aaliyah - One In A Million [Urban Noize Remix]
Aaliyah's music lives on! This is a dope remix of my favorite Aaliyah hit One In a Million. I personally did think Urban Noize did a great job remixing this song without compromising the integrity of her genius. Just last month Drake released the controversial "Enough Said" that received alot of backlash from her fans and most beloved fam in the music game. Like most people I think that as long as Drake followed the right process to use her material deserve the right to give her a voice again. I think something new from Aaliyah is what her fans have long anticipated. I still believe there is room to grow (We're talking about Aaliyah here), but over all he did an awesome job. I added the video below as a bonus! Enjoy!!!!

Wiz Khalifa f/ The Weeknd – “Remember You”
Check out this collaboration between Wiz Khalifa and The Weeknd “Remember You”. This is a hot track from Wiz’s album set to debt on December 4, 2012 O.N.I.F.C.
I'm already a big fan of The Weeknd so I love to see him test the
waters with other hot artist. Wiz is definitely a unique individual and although he has "a very interesting message to convey" I still think he does it well. I like him with Wiz even more
than with Drake. Enjoy music lovers!!!

Earlier this year Kendirck Lamar signed with Interscope Records opening the door to take his career to brand new heights. I honestly hadn't heard of him until the announcement prompted me to look him up. I listened to a few of his songs and became an instant fan. I just heard his new joint Swimming Pools (Drank) and I really like. It's some fresh yet familiar and true to his artistry. There is alot of originality flowing out of this guy. I can't wait until it makes it really big but he's definitely on his way. #Can'twaittohearmoreKendrickLamar

Kerry Washington in Christian Dior
Let's face it, Kerry Washington can put on a brown paper bag and make it look beautiful. She embodies grace and elegance and knows that works for her. Earlier this year I spotted her in a beautiful couture gown by Zuhair Murad and I can't decide if this is my new favorite. What do you think of this Christian Dior number from the Pre Fall 2012 collection? I personally thinks it looks better on her than the model.

"Put It Down"
Brandy's Back....with quite the confidence this time around and rightfully so. Brandy's back with her latest track featuring Chris Brown "Put I Down". I admit I had to listen to the song twice before I caught the vibe, but I really do like this song. This looks just like the grown up version of "I wanna be down". I guess she figured it out. Just Put It Down! Nevertheless, she is beautiful as ever, singing and dancing with Chris Brown (how awesome is that). She is just flawless from head to toe. Don't want you to leave my arms baby
Nooooo
Noooo
And I don't want you to go
I don't want you to go
Cause it hurts me when you leave
Wonder if this is how she feels hey [Verse 1:]
I cry a river
Flowing flowing flowing flowing when you
Say you going
Oh this can't go on
Boy you fantastic, boy you're marvelous,
Your positions got me delirious
Damn I fell for you
There's no breaking up
Don't wanna share you,
But if I must I must
So [Chorus:]
I'm gonna love you when you're here with me
And love you when you're gone (gone)
Situation's so wrong
But babe the love is so strong
Enough to love you when you're here with me
And love you when you're gone (gone)
To another girl's arms [Verse 2:]
I deserve better
But baby better makes me sad by you
Gimme pleasure
So I'll keep holding on
They say love is blind
Well it must be
Cause I can't see you
Being without me
If you don't leave her
I'll be staying
That's the way love goes
Sometimes you're sharin'
Ohhhhhhhh [Chorus:]
I'm gonna love you when you're here with me
And love you when you're gone (gone)
Situation's so wrong
But babe the love is so strong
Enough to love you when you're here with me
And love you when you're gone (gone)
To another girl's arms [Verse 3:]
And I don't know who you'll choose
Somebody's gotta win
Somebody's gotta lose
And I don't know just what you do
And who decides to stay and who will walk away
Boy you fantastic, boy you're marvelous,
Your positions got me delirious
Damn I fell for you
There's no breaking up
Don't wanna share you, but if I must I must
So [Chorus:]
I'm gonna love you when you're here with me
And love you when you're gone (gone)
Situation's so wrong
But babe the love is so strong

Enough of No Love
It's good to see Keyshia
Cole step outside her comfort zone in her new video Enough of No Love. You can just see the emotion pouring out of her in each scene with her new women's anthem dedicated to not put up with cheating men. Although, this is a typical Keyshia Cole song I'm excited to actually see her move alittle in this video. We've never really
seen her dance before, so it was great to see her bust a few moves. Unfortunately, watching this video I see a lot of Mary J and Nicki Minaj in her persona. Let's just say I'm really looking for her to truly find herself
as an artist and wowing us all. I know she still has so much more to
give. I do like her new song tho! Here's her latest single with Lil Wayne "Enough of No Love".
Check out footage from behind the scenes:
Hey
Young Mula Baby
Ya Ready?
Ohh
I admit that you almost had me
I admit I was almost crazy
Had me thinkin bout callin that Bxxch that night
And let her know where she can come and meet me
But it's cool I'ma be a lady
She think she cute but she don't phase me
And if you knew about all of this good love you'll be missing out on
You wouldn't have played me!
Can't say I'm not hurt
I'll be damned if I'm broken
What we had is now hers
Let her know she can have it!
Cause I-I can't stay here,
If there's no love
Yeah I-I can't stay here,
'Cause I've had enough
Enough of no love,
Enough of no love
No love!
And I admit that I thought about creeping
So you could get a dose of how I feel
Cause our hearts can never seem to break even
But what's the use I'd rather pack it up and leaving
Cause here we are again, cause you're wrong again
Quit tryin' to tell me that you love me
Cause your actions say another thing
Can't say I'm not hurt
I'll be damned if I'm broken
What we had is now hers
Let her know she can have it
Cause I-I can't stay here, if there's no love
I-I can't stay here, cause I've had enough
Enough of no love, enough of no love
Tunechi
Why you worried 'bout that other hoe
Cause that other hoe is worried 'bout another hoe
Yeah, you say it's over but you still fussing
You just clumsy, always tripping over nothing
That other bxxch is just that other bxxch
I give her space and give you the mother ship
We can't let her tear down what we built
I told you if you ride or die then I'll be your seat-belt
In sickness and in health for rich poor and I stay rich
But love is a bxxch and bxxches ain't shit
And I'm riding with a girl name Keisha smoking on Kesha
Cause I-I can't stay here, Young Mula Baby, if there's no love
I-I can't stay here, cause I've had enough
Enough of no love...

K Michelle: Take Your Shine, It’s You Time!
I ran across this awesome lyrical ballad posted on you tube back in
2009, Where They Do That At by K
Michelle. Since her appearance on the
VH1 reality show Love and Hip Hop, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding her
opening up about the domestic violence she experienced at the hands of her
ex-boyfriend. After listening to this
song, it appears she’s been more vocal about the situation even before the show
aired. Regardless, after watching this
performance I think we are all able to see K Michelle as the talented artist she really is. I see her pouring herself into this
song, even noting in this song “this is to real for the radio”. She unlike many other artist these days doesn't shy away from expressing herself to the core, even more so as she faces criticism from fans and so-called friends. I can appreciate her realness even if she does need to do some yoga and say a few woosah's from time-to-time. But what women doesn't? Nevertheless, I don't think we've heard the last of K. Michelle since the show has ended it's first season. I think there is more to come and I can't wait to see what music comes from her healing. #wishingkmichellethebest!
In order to understand the ending, first you gotta start from the very beginning
Of my story, I know it ain't all fame and glory
But I lived it
And with all the things that happened, I should be so hateful and unhappy
But that ain't got a damn thing to do with you, so I ain't gotta put that weight on you [Pre-chorus:]
And I can't understand how a man could look at his woman and wanna throw hands
And I can't understand why they wanna wish death upon me, I'm still struggling
And I can't understand why so many mommas gotta raise a man on their own
Cause where I'm from this ain't the way God intended it to be done [Chorus:]
Why do they always got me under attack
Where they do that at
Look at the sky asking God why so much pain on me
How you gon take my love and don't give none back
Where they do that at
Where they do that at [Verse 2:]
Lord knows, I did some things that I wasn't supposed to be doing
But I had to, to keep on living
What's yo excuse, I mean really
Cause you wanna ride through the hood on twenty-fours
Good woman at home but ya chasin video hoes
Talkin bout how real you are, but ain't no real man
Like my granddad n nem [Pre-chorus:]
See you the kind of man that can look at his woman and wanna throw hands
And I can't understand how they wanna wish death upon me, I'm still struggling
And I can't understand why I got to raise my son on my own
Cause where I'm from this ain't the way God intended it to be done [Bridge:]
This might be to real for the radio
But I still wanted you to know
We ain't doin what we was put here for
And I ain't sayin I'm perfect
But what ya'll doin people don't deserve
So girl grab your hand
Girl look at your man
If you understand what I'm saying

Moisturizing With Vegetables on Your Face By: Kathleen Gasior
Nutrition-savvy
girls know that eating a balanced diet, including lots of fresh
veggies, is a great way to take care of your skin from the inside out.
Adding fresh vegetables to your facial care routine can give you the
nearly instant gratification of a smoother, moisture-refreshed
complexion. Many domestic divas may have ventured into the mashed
avocado or olive oil facial, but who knew that radishes and carrots can
also perk up lackluster skin?
CarrotsCarrots, which are high in beta carotene and
vitamin A, have long been known to provide soothing moisture and a
fresh glow to parched complexions. Essential oil of carrot is often
mixed into facial masks and has cropped up in the drugstore brand, "Say
Yes to Carrots." Get the same properties by cleaning and cooking a
couple of large fresh carrots and mashing with 4 1/2 tablespoons of
honey. Smooth the paste onto a clean face, let sit for 10 minutes, rinse
off and follow with your normal moisturizing routine.
PumpkinPumpkin contains vitamins A and C as well as
the mineral zinc. It also has the added bonus of plant enzymes that
exfoliate gently -- goodbye dry, flaky skin! For a happy complexion, mix
2 teaspoons of pureed fresh or canned pumpkin, 1/2 teaspoon honey and
1/4 teaspoon of milk or soy milk. a clean face, let sit for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse. Follow with your usual moisturizer.
CucumbersSoothing cucumber is full of emollients that
bring a thirsty complexion back to life. This mask is especially
beneficial in the summer, as it has cooling properties. If you've
overdone it at the beach, a cucumber mask is the perfect way to
apologize to your irritated skin. Simply cube one cucumber and toss in a
blender with 3 ounces of milk (full-fat is more moisturizing). Smooth
onto a clean face and let sit for five minutes -- drink a glass of water
for full hydration while you wait. Rinse with cool water. RadishesThe humble radish has surprisingly potent
moisture-giving properties. For a post-workweek pick-me-up, blend radish
juice or fresh grated radish, an egg yolk, organic yogurt and grated
cucumber and smooth onto a clean face. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse
with warm water. Use this mask once a week to revitalize dry skin. With
any vegetable mask, if you are allergy-prone, always do a 20-minute
patch test on the back of your hand before the mask to your face.

I've been subscribed to Michelle Phan's youtube channel for a while now. I enjoy watching her videos on make up application and beauty tips. Her videos are so creatively constructed. I ran across a video on making cucumber eye pads and thought I'd give them a try. We all hate those dry eyes and dark circles we get due to stress, lack of sleep or dehydration and when it's just hereditary we're always looking for a way to liven up our eyes! With an organic cucumber (not very large) and a juicer I was able to make 6 sets of the eye pads. I tried my first application right after I juiced the cucumber and placed the others in a zip lock bag as in the video. It was as convenient as it seemed in the video. I would take a set out of the bag and let them thaw while in the shower and place on my eyes for 10 to 15 minutes. I actually enjoyed them freshly thawed because they were so cold. I felt my eyes firm up and it seemed that they were moisturized. I will definitely say this remedy is capable of addressing puffy and dry eyes. As for the dark circles, I noticed they were slightly lighter. I would say it's worth it to continue the process to see the benefits of long terms results. Take care of yourself and feel beautiful everyday!
Check out this video to make your own. It so simple!
OTHER HEALTH BENEFITS OF CUCUMBERS: Source Juicing for Health
Acidity:
The alkalinity of the minerals in cucumber juice effectively
helps in regulating the body's blood pH, neutralizing acidity.
The juice is also soothing for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers. Blood Pressure: Like celery, this colorless drink can help regulate blood pressure because of its minerals and traces of sodium. Connective tissues, building: The
excellent source of silica contributes to the proper construction of
connective tissues in our body as in the bones, muscles, cartilage,
ligaments and tendons. Cooling:
During dry and hot weather, drink a glass of cucumber + celery
juice. It wonderfully helps to normalize body temperature. Diuretic:
Cucumber juice is diuretic, encouraging waste removal through
urination. This also helps in the dissolution of kidney stones. Fever: The temperature regulating properties in cucumber juice makes it a suitable drink when you have a fever. Inflammation: The Chinese think that cucumbers are too "cooling" and not suitable for people with rheumatism. But we know now that cucumber can help counter uric acids that are
causing inflammation in joints. When cucumber is taken it does its
cleaning work at the joints, thus stirring up pain as it eliminates the uric acid.
This means it also help other inflamed conditions like arthritis, asthma, and gout. Hair growth:
The silicon and sulfur content in cucumber juice makes it especially
helpful in promoting hair growth. Drink it mixed with carrot,
lettuce or spinach juice. Puffy eyes:
Some people wake up in the morning with puffy eyes, probably due to
too much water retention in the body (or having cried to sleep). To
reduce the puffiness, lie down and put two slices of cucumber on the
eyes for a good ten minutes. Skin conditions: The high amount of vitamin C and anti-oxidants in cucumber makes it an important ingredient in
many beauty creams for treating eczema, psoriasis, acne, etc. Sunburn: When there is a sunburn, make cucumber juice and rub it on the affected area for a cooling and healing effect. Water retention: It supplies the necessary electrolytes and restores hydration of the body cells, thus reducing water retention.

MJB never ceases to amaze me with the amount of energy she brings to fans through her music. I'm not only writing this because Mary J is my favorite artist but her message is real, her journey is familiar, and she has a way about herself that causes you to grow with her. With the recent launch of her upcoming album she has been very busy promoting the inspiration for her new albumn. 25/8 symbolizes 25 hours in a day and 8 days in a week. The question to her fans and the rest of the world is "What would you do if you had 1 extra hour in a day and 1 extra day in a week?" While many of us can't image the time, her questions to you prompts you to pause and think and ask yourself the same. I personally played back and forth with it; debating between giving my time to someone else or just relaxing and giving myself permission to do absolutely nothing. I appreciate her vocalizing real life matters and evoking us to think about the things that are important. As always the Queen of RnB inspires us all. The release of Mary's new album My Life II: The Journey Continues is just a few days away. Pre-order your copy here .
Check out the new video for her hit single 25/8.

Do you love music with a rhythmic syncopation, nice bass line, kick and
piano harmony? Then you'll dig this up coming artist The Weeknd. Just
image combining the style of Drake and The Dream. Out of Toronto he's
getting major support from his boy Drizzie Drake. With a few hot mix
tapes out including "House of Balloons" and my personal fav "Thursday"
he's getting national exposure for his unique style. You may not want
to sleep on this artist. Check out this clip of "The Zone" feat. Drake.

Will the Real Slim Shady please stand up?
I'll just say it! White rappers generally don't get the same props as
black rappers! It's just the way it is. Eminem has made a name for
himself by working with people like Dr. Dre and is respected in the
rap game for being a lyricist. I've noticed a few rappers trying to
follow in his footsteps but just have a hard time measuring up. I say
move over Slim Shady, Move over Yela Wolf and make room for ya boi
Machine Gun Kelly. Watching the B.E.T awards this year I came across
this artist during a freestyle session. I found out this cat is from
Cleveland, Ohio (of all places)with a few jams that had me going wild.
I'm digging his up tempo flow with the likes of Twista (yea I said it
Twista!). His music features a hard bass, gritty vocal style like "The
King of Crunk Lil John" and Pastor Troy. Since these boys haven't came
out with any hits in a while I'm wondering if Machine Gun Kelly can hold
on to the mic. Check out this video "Chip of Tha Block" by Machine Gun
Kelly.

Kirstie Alley Rips The Runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
We’ve all seen the struggle Kristie Alley has with
maintaining her weigh loss. I personally
think she made the come back of all time at this years’ Mercedes Benz Fashion
Week. She is absolutely stunning as she
rips the runway in this Zang Toi “elegant-yet-dramatic
royal blue, rhinestone-adorned gown”. At
the age of 60, she’s still got it. What
do you think of her look?

You must be living under a rock if you see red bottoms and don't know they are Christian Louboutin shoes! Although we would all love to be rocking a pair of pumps that stars like Beyonce Knowles can afford. The average person just can't shell out $1000.00 for these Christian Louboutin Maggie Cap-Toe Pumps. You can now get this look for less. Check out ShoeDazzle's Amour for only $39.95
